Nurse talking to a man during consultation

Community Partners in Parkinson’s Care is a national program designed to educate and prepare care staff to provide optimal support for people living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) in care communities.

Through expert training, measurable outcomes and a commitment to compassionate care, we help senior living communities and home care agencies create environments where residents and clients with Parkinson’s can thrive.

Who We Serve

This program is designed for staff working in:

  • Skilled nursing homes

  • Assisted living communities

  • In-patient rehabilitation centers

  • Home care and hospice agencies

Across the country, these organizations are on the front lines of Parkinson’s care — and we are here to ensure their teams feel confident, capable and supported.

What the Program Offers

Community Partners in Parkinson’s Care provides access to the Parkinson’s Foundation Care Staff Curriculum, a proprietary training designed specifically for staff working with people living with PD.

Our program focuses on practical, day-to-day strategies that make a measurable difference:

  • Medication Timing – understanding why timing is critical in symptom management.

  • Mobility Support – promoting safe, effective movement strategies to reduce risk.

  • Patience & Understanding – building empathy to support residents and clients with dignity.

By the end of training, Partners are ready to meet people where they are in their Parkinson’s journey — equipped with both knowledge and compassion.
